Goals

Yearly and Short-Term Goals
Class Parties

Every school year, we ask students to donate $5 to help support 3 class parties for them each year. There are Fall, Winter, and Spring parties, and the donated money helps support the cost for crafts, snacks, and other activities for children to celebrate the season. Boosters does donate the remainder of the cost needed to cover these class parties.

Valentine’s Glow Dance

We began a tradition last year that we would love to continue for years to come. In February, we hosted a Valentine’s Glow Dance for the students at Hall and they loved it! We are fundraising money this year in order to host this event again. Costs include things such as decorations, glow items to hand out, and the DJ.

Indoor Recess Cart Games

Boosters used previously raised money to purchase three carts this year to hold games for indoor recess. There are carts for K&Instructional, 1-3, and 4-5 grades. We kicked off the game donations and so many families have donated games which we are incredibly grateful for. During COVID, many teachers had to get rid of games due to wear and tear from cleaning, so this is a fun way to support our teachers and our students when the weather keep us inside!

Field Trips

Boosters donates money to help foot the cost for field trips throughout the year, so that our children can go on fun trips to get educational enrichment in a different environment.

Assemblies

Boosters donates money to help pay for assemblies for the students at Hall so we can give them educational experiences they will remember for a lifetime!

Student and Teacher Appreciation

Throughout the year, Boosters purchases items to help reward both our students and teachers and let them know that we appreciate them and their hard work. These can be things such as reward days for students, or snacks for teachers. We currently have a goal to fill a cabinet in the school with extra supplies that teachers often run out of.

Scholarship Awards

Boosters donates money to a scholarship for a middle schooler and a high schooler that have gone to Hall in the past. This is another way we continue to support our students and their goals and education once they leave our halls and continue on further in life!

5th Grade Mixer and Field Trip

Students in 5th grade have a few different activities to get them ready for middle school and to celebrate the end of their elementary education! Boosters helps purchase shirts for all of our 5th grade students for their mixer, which is when they take a trip to the middle school and meet future classmates and teachers.
Boosters also supports sending our 5th graders on a special field trip at the end of the year to celebrate the hard work they have done and all of their achievements!

Activity Nights

Boosters hosts many events for our students at Hal such as Trunk-or-Treat, the Glow Dance, Community Night, and more! We have come up with some pretty fun ideas for events this year and can’t wait to share them with you!

End of Year Celebrations

At the end of the year, there are many different ways we celebrate our children that Boosters contributes to. At Olympic Day, we have handed out water and popsicles. On the last day, we hosted “Chalk the Walk” and gave bubbles out to families to create a magical last day.

Long-Term Goals
Sensory Room/Cart Donations

Hall School added a sensory room this year for students with different sensory needs, and Boosters would love to donate a cart or two in case a student has sensory needs and a teacher would rather bring a cart to that student. We are working on the logistics of where to store this cart and what to stock it with that will help suit many individual sensory needs.

Playground Shaders

Our playground is completely in the sun, so on hot days it is difficult for students to full enjoy their outdoor time. We want to support the outdoor play during the school day for the children by donating shaders for the playground that will allow for children to find time to cool off and relax in the shade so they can get back to their play!

Front Courtyard

Boosters is considering adding a small courtyard type area to the front of the school. This would include a couple of benches, and maybe some stepping stones and flowers. This idea is still in the brainstorming stages, so it likely won’t happen until late next year, but we feel that it would support a welcoming environment for our children when they come to school each day!
